Trained at the American School of Modern Music in Paris, Kid Colling made a name for himself as a Modern Blues singer and guitarist. After working on various musical projects, he founds, in 2012, his band The Kid Colling Cartel. Describing their style as “Modern Blues”, the band plays mostly Colling’s own compositions and ventures into different genres such as jazz, rock, funk and even pop music, but without ever denying their blues roots.
Colling’s debut EP “Tomorrow’s far away” consists of five bluesy songs, enriched with rock, jazz and funk elements. Ranging from up-tempo tracks to more smooth songs, every single song emphasizes his talent as a singer-songwriter and guitarist as well as his musical diversity. The EP proves that Colling is much more than a traditional blues musician: with “Tomorrow’s far away”, he takes us to an exciting and modern yet elegant blues trip.
